• Seen on most kitchen tables in southeastern Turkey, black Urfa chili has a malty and savory taste with mild-to-medium heat. After being cured, it's packed with salt and a bit of sunflower seed oil to preserve its natural texture and flavor. This spice is delicious on grilled meat, vegetables and scrambled eggs, as well as in stews, chili and salad dressing. It's also great baked into brownies and other chocolate desserts, adding depth and a hint of heat.
